Zambia football legend Kalusha Bwalya believes Kwesi Nyantakyi's unrivalled achievements will be key as he vies for the Caf Executive Committee position next month.

Nyantakyi has enjoyed a tremendous endorsement from some Football Association presidents and Bwalya believes his nomination will develop the sport on the continent.

"It’s always is an opportunity to be in Ghana and the kind of effect Ghana football has had on the African continent over the past years has been amazing and commendable. I think that Kwesi has been very phenomenal after he guided the country to make two World Cup attempts," Bwalya said.

Nyantakyi will be competing against representatives from Benin, Niger and Togo for a single slot.

The elections will take place at the Caf 33rd Ordinary General Assembly on 23 February, 2011 in Khartoum, Sudan, prior to the CHAN final
