Obed Owusu: Asante Kotoko new boys ready for first team challenge
Obed Owusu, in action for Kotoko, is keen to make starting grades for Kotoko

Asante Kotoko new attacker Obed Owusu has admitted he has to work above himself to remain in competition for a regular starting place at the Ghana Premier League champions.

Owusu, 25, joined Kotoko from Brong Ahafo-based Berekum Chelsea and is already fitting in at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko's impressive attacking line boosts of Ivorian-born Burkina Faso hit-man Ahmed Toure, Abdullai Amadou, Dauda Mohammed and Abdul Latif.

The former Okwahu United man must fight to stay in competition for a regular spot and he says he is unfazed by the challenge.

"Yes, it is true there is competition here and that's healthy for the team but I will work hard to play here because that's why I'm here," he told Accra-based Oman FM.

Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani is keen to introduce further telepathy into his team as they prepare for both domestic and continental challenge.
