New signing Obed Owusu netted on his debut game for Kotoko who failed to beat a Tamale XI select side in their third pre-season friendly on Sunday afternoon.

The former Berekum Chelsea new signing scored the opening goal for the Porcupine Warriors but the select side from the host city equalised.

Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani, who was being honoured with the match for picking up the coach of the year award, made wholesome changes to his squad in the second-half with former Ghana U20 keeper Ofori Antwi, Acheampong, Ohene Brenya, Oppong, Asante, Oti, Senegalese Mamadou Kone, and veteran Stephen Oduro all coming on.

The Kumasi giants will head further south to Techiman where they are expected to play a game before heading down to Kumasi for the start of the GHALCA top-four championship next weekend.
