After a brilliant career spent among Liverpool, Brøndby and Danish national team (including Under-20 and Under-21 levels) as a centre-back, Daniel Agger announced being quitting football as a professional player, at only 31 years old.
Here's the message he posted on his official Twitter profile:
"Thank you for your support. A great experience. It's sad, but it is the right decision to stop. I'm proud of my career".
