Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have confirmed the signing of Ghana youth international Amidu Salifu from Vicenza on a co-ownership basis,GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The 18-year-old attracted attention when he scored in Vicenza’s 3-1 defeat at Genoa in the Coppa Italia last month.
Salifu has impressed the Fiorentina technical team headed by Sinisa Mihajlovic to increase the stock of potentials at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The talented midfielder played in the final qualifier that earned a place at next year’s African Youth Championship in Libya.
