Previously training Godoy Cruz and Argentinos Juniors, 39-year old former Argentinian international defensive all-rounder Gabriel Heinze has been signed by Velez Sarsfield as new manager. Heinze played as a front-row member for such clubs as PSG, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Olympique Marseille, and AS Roma, all the 2000's long and in the early 2010's.
