Official: Ghanaian firm OMP buys 40% stake in Great Olympics

Ghanaian media outfit Optimum Media Prime have bought 40% stake in Ghana Premier League returnees Great Olympics, the Accra side have confirmed. 

The deal has been concluded with Olympics Chief Executive Fred Pappoe confirming the terms of negotiations.

OMP have splashed out a reported $105,000 to secure a minority stake in the club which could to rise in the coming years.

“I can confirm to you that OMP have bought 40% stake in Great Olympics and we’re happy with the arrangement,” Chief Executive Fred Pappoe said

“They will responsible for providing our secretariat, airtime and many other things which will help the club run professionally.

“We have done our own internal checks and we’re delighted with OMP. They are credible outfit and we believe the benefit will be mutual.

“We have also done our background checks and we have come to a conclusion that we can work with them.

“We hope to see a new Great Olympics this season.”

The Wonder Club are making a return to the Ghanaian top-tier after three seasons in the wilderness.
