Official: Hearts confirm David Duncan sacking
David Duncan has been relieved off his duties at Hearts

Hearts have confirmed that they have terminated the contract of David Duncan.

GHANAsocernet.com broke the news about the dismissal of the 50-year-old on Friday.

The ex-Ashantigold trainer was told to look elsewhere after clashing with board chairman Togbe Afede.

"Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited wish to announce that we have mutually agreed with Coach David Duncan to part ways with immediate effect," a club statement read.

"We wish to assure the Club’s teeming followers that the Club remains focused on mounting a credible challenge for the Premier League and FA Cup. Meanwhile, Assistant Coach Ben Adjei has been asked to take temporary charge.”

The tough-talking trainer has been hugely credited with transforming the side since he joined in November last year but disagreements with the club's majority shareholder Togbe Afede has led to his dismissal.

He led the club to win this year's GHALCA President Cup with the club third on the Ghana Premier League table.
