Ghanaian attacker Dominic Oduro netted his eighth goal of the American Major Soccer League season and was voted man-of-the-man  when his Columbus Crew lost 3-2 to Sporting KC on Saturday.

Oduro restored parity for The Crews in the 53rd minute after Jairo Arrieta had scored to halve the deficit for the visitor who had fallen to a Kei Kamara and Claudio Bieler goals to keep the scoring 2-2.

The 27-year-old stole a pass from Sporting left back Seth Sinovic after the Serb tried to direct a Higuain long range pass to his goalkeeper.

Oduro exhibited great technique to round the on-rushing goalkeeper and bury the ball into the bottom right corner to peck the scoring once more for the visitors.

The former Houston Dynamo and Chicago Fire forward was voted the most valuable player of the game despite Crew's defeat, an evidence of his consistent fine form.

He was replaced after 71 minutes.
