Head coach of Medeama football club Tom Strand says he is delighted his side will play against Mamelodi Sundowns though he admits the gulf in wealth between the two team's could prove the difference.

The Yellow and Mauve’s will play their biggest game as a football club when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the final qualification stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Medeama beat Sudanese side Al Shandi while Sundown’s were knocked out of the Champions League by Congolese side AS Vita.

The game posses a different challenge to the Ghanaian side who were knocked out at this same stage in the Confederation Cup in 2014.

Tom Strand who coaches Medeama admits the game will be a big test for his side though that is mainly due to the wealth difference between Sundowns and Medeama.

“Sundowns have always been my favourite team because they play good football actually”, Strand is quoted by GazzettaGhana.com

“They’re one team in South Africa that pay a player may be more than the everybody in our team”,

“But it is a beautiful challenge and a beautiful experience and we have to try and find their weakness and and try to prevent them from playing their own style”.
