Mohammed Zemmamouche withdrawn from Algeria's squad

Algeria have suffered another injury setback with goalkeeper Mohammed Lamine Zemmamouche forced to withdraw from the 2015 AFCON due to an injury.

The 29-year-old hurt his shin in training and will no longer play a part in the team’s campaign in Equatorial Guinea.

Zemmamouche becomes the third casualty in Algeria’s original 23-man squad to withdraw due to injury.

CS Constantine’s Cedric Si Mohammed has been haned a late call up as a replacement.

Algeria suffered the injury setback following some god news with the return of left-back Faouzi Ghoulam to training.

Coach Christian Gourcuff has had to make late call ups to replace two players already in his original squad ahead of the side’s opening Group C game against South Africa on Monday.

Algeria who are widely tip as favourites to win the tournament will also be facing Ghana and Senegal in their other group games.
