Opponent Watch: Sami Khedira will be ready for World Cup - Germany coach Loew
Sami Khedira has recovered from injury

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira will play for Ghana's group opponents Germany at the Brazil World Cup this summer, according to national coach Joachim Low.

The German national coach Low believes that Khedira will be able to represent his country in Brazil after recovering from knee surgery.

The midfielder has not played for Madrid or Germany since his national side's game in November against Italy.

However, in a recent interview with Bild, Low touched on Khedira's recovery, saying: “Khedira radiates ambition in our conversations, I hope he can join use for the World Cup.

"At this moment, he’s in incredible physical fitness.  His knee is free of any pain and he’s very tough.”

Khedira is expected to return in time for the final weeks of the La Liga season but his inclusion in the Madrid team under boss Carlo Ancelotti is uncertain after the superb form of Croatian midfielder Luka Modric.

The 26-year-old German has been linked with a summer move to Chelsea and Manchester United.
