Fatau Dauda remained an unused substitute

Ghana internationals Rashid Sumaila and Fatau Dauda both remained unused substitutes in Orlando Pirates’ 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns to progress to the semi finals of the NedBank Cup.

The Buccaneers progressed courtesy goals from Manyisa and Dani Klate in the game played at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

Vladimir Vemezovic’s side took an early lead through a well converted penalty kick by Manyisa after just six minutes.

Sundowns drew level in the 25th minute with a controlled finish by Elias Pelembe.

The Brazilians were however unable to shut out their rivals as Dani Klate popped up in the 61st minute to score what eventually proved the winner.

Both Fatau Dauda and Rashid Sumaila were left on the benches of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively throughout the game.
