Edwin Gyimah set to complete Orlando Pirates move this week

Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has praised the expected acquisition of Ghana midfielder Edwin Gyimah ahead of the completion of his move this week.

The 24-year-old made his debut for the Bucs after coming on as a substitute in the Carling Black Label match against Kaizer Chiefs.

Gyimah is however yet to sign a contract to complete his free transfer move to Orlando Pirates.

His versatility – being able to play in both midfield and defence – particularly excites his new coach Eric Tinkler ahead of the finalization of his move.

"We have been monitoring Gyimah since last and though he only joined us on Friday I had to give him a run against Chiefs," Tinkler said.

"He will help us a lot as he can adapt to playing in the midfield as well as in defence. We needed a player like him in the team."

Edwin Gyimah is an experienced PSL campaigner having played for SuperSport United and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
