Ghana U20 prospect Osei Barnes scored both consolation goals for Paços de Ferreira who slipped to a 4-2 loss at their Portuguese Cup first-leg tie against lower-tier side Paços de Ferreira on Wednesday night.

The teenager who is into his second season at Paços de Ferreira gave a lifeline to his side by scoring in the 15th and 57th minutes at the Estádio da Madeira.

Barnes scored on the quarter of an hour mark to pull even for Ferreira but the host scored again and doubled their advantage after the break.

But the 19-year-old Ghanaian ensured his side stayed in the game by reducing the deficit with a strike in the 57th minute.

The brace mark his first competitive goals for Ferreira since joining them last season.
