Ex-France U17 captain Kevin Osei  has issued a come-and-get-me plea to the Ghana Football Association following his decision to play for the West African country.

The 19-year-old, who currently plays alongside the Ayew brothers Andre and Jordan at Olympique Marseille, wants a call-up into the Ghana Under-20 team.

Osei, who has exemplary leadership qualities, was born to Ghanaian parents in France.

He has now served notice to the Ghana football authorities that he wants to play where his heart lies.

The offensive midfielder told local radio station Asempa FM: "I think the time has come for me to play for one of the national teams and I'm on keen on fulfilling that dream.

"I want to play for the Ghana U20 team and I have made my decision and I want to Ghana leaders to know my decision of wanting to play for the country.

"I love to play for my country and am possibly looking forward to that opportunity if it comes and hopefully it will be soon."

Osei must now apply for nationality switch to enable him play for Ghana but the move must be initiated by the Ghana Football Association.

The youngster joined Marseille when he was 12 from Olympique Saint Maximinois until he signed a professional contract in 2009 after turning 18.

He was the general captain at the junior side which included former Black Satellites captain Andre and Jordan.
