Assistant Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Akakpo Patron has credited his players for the victory over Aduana Stars in match day 15 of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated the Champions, Aduana Stars, 2-1 in Kumasi after Yacouba Songne scored a brace in the weekend's top liner.

The win keeps Kotoko on a run of four games without a defeat and Coach Akakpo Patron has heaped praises on his players for their outstanding performance on Sunday.

"It was not an easy game.  We knew what we were up for against Aduana. We had to give them that respect, Aduana has been a good side. We all know they are still in the confederations cup. Actually, today itself I give them thumbs up for winning for the supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko," he said after the game.

"We dedicate the win to the fans of the club. The boys rose up to the occasion. We went in with a plan to get in our early goal. It's only in the second half that I thought we lost a bit of concentration by not keeping the ball properly and that was when the pressure kept mounting on us. But this guys defended very very well. It was a very good win. We wanted to win to put us in a good position in the first round," he added.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have undergone some changes in recent weeks, sending a way some players and bringing in some new players as replacement. The new boys have impressed a lot propelling the club to fifth place on the table.
