Out of this World Gyan hits 20th goal of the season

Posted On Monday, 10th December 2012

Asamoah Gyan extends 'insane' goalscoring spree in the UAE

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan extended his astonishing goalscoring spree despite missing a penalty in Al Ain’s 2-1 win over Al Wahda in the UAE Pro League.

Gyan struck late to pick all three points for the champions on Monday to rack up his 20th goal out of 12 matches played this season.

The 27-year-old’s however revived the skeletons in his closet by missing a first half penalty and an opportunity to extend Al Ain’s lead after Alex Brosque had opened the scoring after just five minutes.

The champions were however dealt a devastating blow in the 71st minute when Al Wahda pulled level through Saeed Al Kathiri.

But Gyan, the ‘Baby Jet’ came good in the 81st minute to snatch the win much to the delight of the expectant crowd at the Tanoun Bin Mohammed Stadium.

The former Udinese, Renne and Sunderland hitman is now just two goals away from equaling his 22 goal harvest in his debut season in the UAE Pro League last term.

Gyan’s form also serves a massive boost for the Black Stars as his goals will be much needed in Ghana’s latest attempt to win a fifth African title at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.

Can’t we appreciate and congratulate our own Gyan? many countries would wish to have a player like that. What is wrong with Ghanaians? we can’t even appreciate the success of a fellow Ghanaian?. WOW!!!!

i’m sorry, am i requested to kiss the dudes ass like the rest of you, please, spare me. So he bangs in the goals, so we r reminded every freaking week, let’s hear better things geez. And pls gsn out of this world, yeah right. He’s not the only one we have but u guys keep making him feel that he’s ur god, too much respect for the that u nade him captain after he came bacj from abandoning the team. Simply wonderful. We get nothing from hating him but certainly don’t get better results from praising his ass. So what do we do with him then. Spare us the constant influx of gyan news. Thank you very much.

  7. Quasie says:

Who else keeps scoring than Gyan is ryt now. Spare him those whining n God-for-saking nagging. Whether UAE or nt, he’s successful in his own terms.
