Former Black Stars goalkeeper George Owu is set to exit Ashanti Gold for newly promoted Ebusua Dwarfs after an unsuccessful spell with the club last season.

Owu has reported left the camp of the Miners and is set to stitch up a deal with the Cape-Coast side.

AshGold Chief executive Kojo Fianoo has confirmed to Ghanasoccernet.com that the 28-year-old is no more with the club.

"Owu told me that he would like to leave AshGold and join a new club where he can have much playing time."

"He informed me he was leaving for Accra but the team manager told me this morning that Owu has packed all his belongings meaning he’s not coming back here." Fianoo added.

Fianoo insists the former Black Stars goalkeeper has some contractual issues to sort out with the club.

"We signed him on without any contract fee but that does not mean he can leave the club for free. Dwarfs still have to come for talks with us."

Owu joined AshGold from Egyptian side El-Masry last season.
