Ozil to swap Arsenal for Man United
With all the noise surrounding Alexis Sanchez's protracted efforts to leave Arsenal this summer, the future of teammate Mesut Ozil -- who is in a similar contract situation -- flew somewhat under the radar during the latest transfer window. But that doesn't mean the Germany international wasn't plotting his next move.
According to the Mirror, Ozil has had it with life at the Emirates under Arsene Wenger and is enamoured with the prospect of a move to join Jose Mourinho's barnstorming Manchester United side. The 28-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is reportedly willing to let his contract run down and become a free agent this summer.
And the outlet suggests a move to Old Trafford might not be as far-flung as it sounds, saying "Ozil's advisors have put out feelers over a potential move to Manchester United and the feedback has been encouraging."
Mourinho is thought to be a longtime admirer of Ozil -- who is asking for a £250,000-a-week pay package from Arsenal -- and has him at the top of his wish list for next summer, alongside Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.
As for Sanchez, recent reports in the transfer pages have suggested he'll push for the move to Man City that never materialised over the summer. But now the Sun is saying that cash-strapped Paris Saint-Germain are ready to return for the Chile international -- and with a bumper wage package in tow.
The problem for City is compounded by the fact that PSG is free to start talks with Sanchez in January, while Pep Guardiola's team are bound by transfer rules to wait until the summer, when his contract expires, to begin their pursuit. Were the Ligue 1 powerhouse to make headway on a move for Alexis, the Sun says Edinson Cavani would be the player to make way.
Koeman wants to add to strike force
Everton spent heavily this summer. And then they spent and spent some more to bring in the likes of Wayne Rooney, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford. But manager Ronald Koeman, whose team are off to a dreadful start this season, still isn't happy with his squad.
According to the Mirror, the Dutch boss wants to return for Olivier Giroud, who he failed to bring in as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku after the Belgian left for Man United in the summer. And this time, Koeman thinks he'll get his man, with a £40 million bid he's ready to lodge in January.
It won't be one-and-done for Koeman and Everton, though. The Sun adds that Bournemouth striker Joshua King also is in the Toffees' sights, and they will have had a close-up view to their winter target, having picked up a much-needed 2-1 win against Eddie Howe's team on Saturday in a match that King scored in for his losing side.

- Caen under-17 attacker Elye Wahi has caught the eye of some of the Premier League's top clubs, reports the Sun. The 14-year-old has been racking up goals for the Ligue 1 side's academy team, scoring two in a match against PSG on Thursday, and he has been likened to a younger, goal-scoring version of N'Golo Kante.
In fact, young Wahi hails from Courcouronnes, the same Paris suburb as Kante, whose Chelsea team are leading Liverpool, Tottenham and both Manchester clubs in pursuit of the Caen prodigy.
