Paintsil handed Fulham lifeline with coach's departure?

Published on: 03 June 2011

John Paintsil might have a career lifeline at Fulham with the surprise departure of manager Mark Hughes.

The ex Blackburn and Man City boss who told the Ghana right-back way back in January his contract will not be renewed after its expiration this summer, shockingly resigned amidst rumours of a job opening at Aston Villa.

The luck of the 28-year-old who has not hidden his desire to remain with the Cottagers might change for the better but only if the incoming boss decides against the decision to offload the hardworking defender.

However, whatever be the case, John Paintsil is certain issues with his club football will be sorted out by the end of June but would obviously prefer to stay at Fulham.
