Palermo President wants own player to join AC Milan

Ahead of Franco Vazquez’s seemingly inevitable transfer out of Palermo in the summer, Rosanero owner Maurizio Zamparini would like to see the attacker join AC Milan.

Once again the Argentine-Italian has impressed for the Serie A strugglers, with no teammate close to his contribution of five goals and seven assists in the 2015/16 campaign.

“There are two or three teams who want him,” Zamparini told reporters, “I have a great relationship with [Adriano] Galliani and [Silvio] Berlusconi.

“I’d love to see [Vazquez] at Milan, why not?”

Where the Italian businessman chooses to flog his latest asset will remain to be seen, in the meantime fan distaste at multiple coach sackings and a recently-assumed spot in the relegation zone represent more pressing matters, as Palermo face Chievo on April 3.
