Parma select Afriyie Acquah for Torino clash to allay injury fears
Afriyie Acquah passed fit to face Torino

Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has been included in the Parma squad for their mid-week Serie-A clash against Torino despite being doubtful for the game.

The 22-year-old is reported to be struggling with an unspecified injury which was expected to rule him out of Wednesday’s must-win game at Torino.

The Ghana international was however named in Parma’s 23-man traveling party by manager Roberto Donadoni.

Acquah’s selection means he has been passed fit and could even start the game at the Olimpico.

His availability also clears any injury doubts hovering around the box-to-box midfielder who is expected to be named in Ghana’s squad for next month’s 2015 AFCON qualifiers.

Parma squad:

Goalkeepers: Cordaz, Iacobucci, Mirante.

DEFENDERS: Costa, De Ceglie, Felipe Gobbi, Mendes, Rispoli, Ristovski, Santacroce, Zuccolini.

Midfielders: Acquah, Galloppa, Lodi, Lucas Souza, Mariga, Mauri, Sarr.

FORWARDS: Belfodil, Cassano, Tail, Ghezzal.
