Patrice Cateron wants Solomon Asante at Al-Ahly after joining the Egyptians

New Al-Ahly manager Patrice Cateron could bring Ghana International Solomon Asante to Egypt with him from Phoenix Rising. 

The former Berekum Chelsea winger has been Cateron's right hand man wherever he goes, after reuniting with the French international at USL side Phoenix Rising.

The pair worked together at Congolese side TP Mezembe where they achieved lots of success before Cateron left for the United States.

At Phoenix rising, the Ghanaian become the manager's key man as Phoenix Rising aimed at reaching the Major League Soccer.

Carteron left the club to sign with top Egyptian club Al Ahly, Phoenix Rising announced Tuesday morning via a release. Assistant coach Rick Schantz will take over as interim head coach and will lead the team in Wednesday’s home match against the Las Vegas Lights. The move was first reported by kingfut.com.

Al Ahly plays in the Egyptian Premier League, the country’s highest league where the club has had much success. It has won 40 national titles, 36 national cups and 10 national super cups.

At the international level, the club has won eight Confederation of African Football Champions League titles, a CAF Confederation Cup, a record six CAF Super Cup titles and a record four African Cup Winners’ Cup titles, among several other championships.
