Former Ghana international striker Patrick Agyemang has left English fourth-tier side Portsmouth by mutual consent, the club has confirmed.

Agyemang, 34, was deemed surplus to requirement at the club and he was talked out of his remaining contract at the Fratton Park.

A club website statement confirmed the departure of the former Queens Park Rangers forward: "Portsmouth Football Club would like to thank Patrick for his efforts while at Fratton Park and wish him well for the future".

The burly striker only managed to score manage four (4) goals in 49 appearances for former English Premier League campaigners.

He joined Portsmouth from fellow League Two outfit Stevenage FC.
