Patrick Razak swats aside Hearts of Oak' contract extension offer

Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak is reported to have swat aside a new offer from the club despite being given over 200% salary increment.

The Phobians are offering to pay the diminutive winger GHC1,500 a month from his original GHC450 plus a signing-on fee of GHC30,000 for two years as reported by his manager Abdulai Alhassan.

"Hearts of Oak want Patrick Razak to sign 2-years contract extension worth GH¢ 1,500 a month and GH¢ 30,000 signing on fee,'' Abdullai Alhassan is quoted as saying.

But sources close to the Black Stars B winger have revealed to Ghanasoccernet.com that the player isn't ready to extend his contract with just nine months left for him to be a free agent.

The player's father is believed to be a pivot in the decision not to allow his son to extend his contract with the Phobians after they denied him the opportunity to grab a mouthwatering offer from Guinean side Horoya AC.

The Guinea giants tabled an $80,000 for the winger plus a signing-on of $40,000, a house and a monthly salary of $3000, but the offer was shockingly rejected by the Phobians - a decision that threw the player's entire family into a complete state of shock.

Following that decision, the father of the player and his manager have decided to allow the player to honour the remaining years on his contract and leave as a free agent.

The offer from Horoya AC was not only tantalising but was also an opportunity for the player which was blown away by the Phobians compelling the player and his representatives to resist the contract extension from Hearts.

Razak will be a free agent in November and the Phobians will surely bite their fingers for letting go of such an opportunity to make over GHC300,000 from his sale.
