Paul Pogba "cannot be happy" with his current situation at Manchester United, according to France boss Didier Deschamps.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who has been called up by Deschamps for France's upcoming friendlies against Colombia and Russia, has missed several important games for United in recent weeks.

Pogba did not feature when Jose Mourinho's side beat Liverpool in the Premier League, came on as a late substitute in the Champions League defeat to Sevilla and was absent against Brighton in the FA Cup.

Paul Pogba hasn't featured in some of Manchester United's most recent big matches.

Deschamps told L'Equipe: "This is a situation that he must not appreciate because of everything he would have been able to offer. There must be numerous reasons.

"He cannot be happy with what he is going through with his club.''

Sources told ESPN FC on Monday that Mourinho is planning a summer overhaul of his squad which could see as many 10 departures and arrivals at Old Trafford, though Pogba is not expected one of the players set for an exit.

However, his behaviour and his play on the field have come in for criticism in recent days.

Last week, former France and Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit told RMC Pogba should stop "sulking" and making his situation a "duel" with Mourinho.

While earlier in the week, United legend Roy Keane said Pogba "did nothing" when he came off the bench in the Sevilla loss and is a "problem" for the club.
