Godfred Donsah scored his second goal for Bologna

Goals aplenty for Ghanaian players abroad over the weekend with promising midfielder Godfred Donsah scoring and assisting for Bologna in Italy.

Ghana-target Inaki Williams also grabbed his 12th goal of the season for Athletic Bilbao while Sulley Muntari scored from a rasping drive for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Dutch-born Mitch Apau, Cyprus-based Chris Dickson and Maxwell Acosty all found the net for their clubs in separate league across Europe.

Meanwhile Christian Atsu failed to get his debut in Spain but there was a debut for Emmanuel Boateng at LA Galaxy and Ghana custodian Razak Brimah was sent off in Spain.

GERMANY

Ghana defender Daniel Opare was not in the Augsburg squad that drew 0-0 with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Ghana-target Gideon Jung came off the Hamburg SV bench to play the last two minutes in their 2-1 loss at VfB Stuttgart.

In the third-tier league, Ghanaian-born Canadian international Randy Edwini-Bonsu played for Aalen and helped them to a 3-0 win over Stuttgarter Kickers. Attacker Erich Berko played the entire game for Kickers.

Prince Owusu warmed the bench for Stuttgart II when they lost 1-0 against Aue on Saturday.

There was neither Evans Owusu nor Reagy Ofosu in the Holstein Kiel and Chemnitzer as Kiel won 5-2 in the clash.

ITALY

Godfred Donsah scored the second goal and assisted the opening goal for Bologna in their 3-2 win over Sampdoria in the Serie A. Donsah was replaced in the 61st minute.

Isaac Cofie was booked in the 31st minute and was replaced before the resumption of the second-half when his Carpi side drew 1-1 with Palermo.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played the entire minutes of the game for Udinese who drew 0-0 with visiting Lazio. Both teams finished the game with ten men.

Former Inter Milan midfielder Alfred Duncan played full throttle for Sassuolo when they drew 1-1 with Atalanta.

Afriyie Acquah lasted 59 minutes for Torino in their 0-0 draw with Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Kevin-Prince Boateng played the last two minutes for AC Milan who disciplined Inter Milan 3-0 in the Milan derby on Sunday.

Raman Chibsah played 76 minutes for Frosinone when they lost 3-1 at AS Roma on Saturday.

Defender Bright Addae came off the bench in the 29th minute to play for Ascoli in their 3-0 loss at Cesena.

Both Amidu Salifu and Masahudu Alhassan were on the Perugia bench when they travelled to beat Crotone 2-1. Masahudu came off the bench to play but Salifu was unused.

Former Ghana U23 attacker Maxwell Acosty Boadu score the only goal of the game for Latina in their 1-0 win over Pro Vercelli. Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom also made his debut for the club  by coming off the bench to play.

Ransford Selasi warmed the bench for Pescara when they defeated Bari 3-1. Inter Milan loanee Isaac Donkor played the entire game in defence for Bari but AC Milan attacker who is on loan at Bari Kingsley Boateng was unused.

Prince Besea warmed the Modena bench in their 2-1 loss at Ternana.

In the third-tier league, Ghanaian youngsters Isaac Ntow and Caleb Ekuban came off the Renate bench to play in their 4-2 loss at Cittadella.

Dennis Kumih sat on the bench for Rimini in their 1-1 draw with Lupa Roma.

Former Fiorentina defender Nii Nortey Ashong came off the Lucchese bench to play in their 2-1 home loss against Maceratese.

Torino loanee Emmanuel Gyasi played the entire game for ten-man Carrarese when they lost 1-0 against visiting Savona.

FRANCE

Black Stars striker Majeed Waris returned from injury to play 70 minutes for Lorient in their 2-0 win over Stade Reims. Forward Grejohn Kyei missed the game with injury.

Dennis Appiah played full throttle for Caen when they won 2-0 against OGC Nice.

Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah continued to stay out of the Lille match squad as he was left out in their 1-1 draw at Olympique Marseille on Friday.

There was no Emmanuel Ntim in the Valenciennes side that were held to a 0-1 draw by visiting Red Star.

Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah came off the bench to replace Comoros defender Kassim Abdallah in first-time stoppage-time when Evian TG lost 1-0 against Metz.

In the third-tier league, former Ghana youth midfielder Charles Boateng played the entire game for Avranches when they drew 0-0 with Sedan.

Still in that league, former Gefle IF midfielder Joachim Adukor was unused by Beziers who were hammered 3-0 by host Strasbourg.

BELGIUM

Standard Liege restored their winning run after defeating OH Leuven 2-0. Ghana youth forward Benjamin Tetteh came off the bench to play for Liege while Leuven also introduced Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Asamoah midway through the second-half.

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Mitch Apau scored the consolation goal for Westerlo when they lost 2-1 against Zulte-Waregem.

Gent posted a slim 2-1 win over Waasland-Beveren. Nana Akwasi Asare was not in the Gent squad for the game.

Denis Odoi played at left-back for Lokeren who lost 2-1 against Club Brugge.

Bennard Kumordzi was a late substitute for ten-man Genk who won 1-0 against Kortrijk. Former New Edubiase United midfielder Asiedu Attobrah failed to make the Kortrijk squad for the game.

Winger Frank Acheampong played 75 minutes for Anderlecht and helped them to a 2-1 win at St Truiden.

In the Second Division, former Liberty Professionals forward and Lokeren loanee Eugene Ansah came off the bench to play for Lommel United in their 1-1 draw with Tubize.

Kwame Nsor was not in the FC Seraing team that won 2-1 at Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday.

There was no William Owusu in the FC Antwerp team that defeated Heist 2-0.

None of the seven Ghanaian players was in the Lierse SK side that won 1-0 against Dessel Sport.

NETHERLANDS

Edwin Gyasi was not in the Roda JC squad that held Ajax Amsterdam to a 2-2 draw.

Thomas Agyepong and Shadrach Eghan started on the bench for FC Twente when they beat FC Utrecht 3-0. There was no Rodney Antwi in the Utrecht squad for the game.

Dutch-born defender Johan Kappelhof missed the FC Groningen's 3-1 win at PEC Zwolle with suspension.

AZ Alkmaar coasted to a 3-0 win over NEC Nijmegen. Ghanaian defender Marcel Appiah played for NEC while Derrick Luckassen was unused by the victors.

Manchester City loanee Divine Naah played the entire match for NAC Breda in their 1-0 win over Helmond Sport.

Ghanaian-born Aruba international Erixon Danso scored the only goal of the game for Emmen when they won 1-0 against Telstar. AZ Alkmaar loanee Raymond Gyasi also played for Emmen.

Johnathan Opoku was not in the VVV Venlo team that won 3-0 against Volendam.

SPAIN

Black Stars-bound Thomas Partey came off the bench to play for Atletico Madrid who lost 2-1 against Barcelona with nine men.

Wakaso Mubarak was booked in the 56th minute and played 82 minutes for Las Palmas who defeated Celta de Vigo 2-1.

Malaga coach Javi Garcia left Ghana winger Christian Atsu on his bench as they nicked a 2-1 win at Getafe on Saturday. The Chelsea loanee could not make his debut.

Bernard Mensah watched from the Getafe bench when they suffered a 1-0 loss against visiting Athletic Bilbao. Ghana-target Inaki Williams scored the only goal of the game for Bilbao.

In the Segunda Division, Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Brimah was sent off while in action for Cordoba in their 3-2 loss against Leganes on Saturday.

Fatau Mohammed played 73 minutes for Almeria in their 2-1 win over Real Zaragona on Sunday.

Defender Kassim Nuhu returned to the Real Mallorca squad but warmed the bench for the entire period when they won 2-0 at Ponferradina.

Both Clifford Aboagye and Richard Boateng played for Granada B when they won 2-1 against Linense.

PORTUGAL

Defender Richard Ofori was not in the Academica de Coimbra side that lost 3-2 at Sporting Lisbon on Saturday.

Alhassan Wakaso returned to the Rio Ave squad and played full throttle as they beat Vitoria Setubal 2-1 on Sunday.

Ghana U20 striker Osei Barnes was unused by Pacos Ferreira who held Arouca to a 2-2 draw with ten men.

Former Liberty Professionals starlet Emmanuel Hackmann played the full 90 minutes for Boavista when they drew 0-0 with visiting Sporting Braga.

Ghanaian youth pair of Ernest Ohemeng and Emmanuel Boateng both started the game for Moreirense who succumbed to a 4-1 loss against Benfica. Ohemeng was replaced in the 57th minute.

Ishmael Yartey was a second-half substitute for Gil Vicente in their 0-0 draw with Freamunde in the second-tier league.

Former Inter Milan midfielder Said Ahmed Said played the entire minutes of the game for Olhanense who lost 1-0 Atletico CP in the second-tier league.

Emmanuel Oti played 69 minutes for Braga B who lost 2-0 at Aves.

SAUDI ARABIA

Suspended Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari played full throttle and scored the only goal of the game for Al Ittihad as they pipped Najran 1-0.

CYPRUS

Ermis surprised themselves with a 2-0 win over title hopefuls Anothorsis Famagusta. Ghanaian forward Chris Dickson scored the opening goal for Ermis. Former Manchester City defender Razak Nuhu warmed the bench for Anothorsis.

ENGLAND

Baba Rahman got his first Chelsea start and played the full throttle as the Blues coasted to a 5-1 win over MK Dons.

Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew played for Aston Villas when they were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Derek Asamoah played the full 90 minutes Carlisle United who succumbed to a 3-0 home loss against Everton in the Cup.

GREECE

Michael Essien excelled in midfield for Panathinaikos when they emerged 3-2 victorious over Platanias.

Former Bechem United striker Eric Warden played for Olympiakos Volos when they lost 3-0 at Trikaka in the second-tier league.

FRIENDLIES

Ghanaian midfielder Enock Adu Kofi warmed the bench for Malmo FF in their 1-0 win over Danish side BK Fremad Amager.

Danny Amankwaa was not in the FC Copenhagen team that won 2-0 against  Lyngby on Friday.

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muniru played the entire match and helped Steaue Bucuresti to win 1-0 against Austria side Sturm Graz at the Gloria Sports Arena.

Ernest Asante and Kamal Issah played for Stabaek when they lost 2-0 against Russian side Terek Grozni on Sunday.

Former Helsingborg IF midfielder Emmanuel Boateng played his first game for LA Galaxy when they defeated Armenian side FC Shirak at Stub Hub Center 2-1 on Sunday.

SOUTH AFRICA

Midfielder Edwin Gyimah played the full 90 minutes for Orlando Pirates in their 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs in Absa Premier League.

TURKEY

Samuel Inkoom played in defence for Antayalspor when they lost 1-0 against Konyaspor.
