Ghana defender David Addy returned from injury to help Acadamica beat Guimaraes and striker Eric Gawu scored in Israel.

Centre-back John Boye was regular at the back and lasted the entire duration for Rennes which beat Lens 2-0 at home.

In Ligue 2: Ghana youth Rabiu Mohammed came on in the 58th minute for Farina as his side Evian TG lost 0-2 at home to Dijon

In Spain:

Jeffrey Sarpong was a 73rd minute substitute for Real Sociedad which lost 4-1 at Espanyol.

In the Seguda Division; Jonathan Mensah saw red on 50 minutes for Granada which posted a 5-2 win over Las Palmas.

In Italy:

Promising midfielder Isaac Cofie starred for 90 minutes in the Piacenza set-up which earned a goalless draw at Padova.

Kwame Quansah lasted 86 minutes on the pitch as Heracles thumped Vitesse Arnhem 6-1

NAC Breda beat Den Haag 3-2 at home with striker Mathew Amoah playing the entire duration of the match.

In the Jupiler League; Edwin Gyasi was a 58th minute substitute for Telstar which lost 2-3 to Almere City

Mitch Apau was replaced by Malenovic before the hour mark for Veendam in their 3-2 reserve at Waalwijk.

In Portugal:

Left-back David Addy came on in the 46th minute to help Academica rake in two goals to finish off Guimarães 0-2 in their own backyard.

In Israel:

Striker Eric Gawu found the back of the net for his struggling Israel Premier League side Hapoel Ashkelon in their 2-4 home defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The former Hearts of Oak player netted in the 65th minute to tie the score at 2-2 but Maccabi came back strongly for the winner.

Goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu manned the post for Ashkelon.

Elsewhere; Awudu Samad was substituted after 80 minutes as Hapoel Ramat drew goalless with Hapoel Beer Sheva which featured Ibrahim Abdul Razak.

Defender Daniel Addo came on in the 77th minute for Hapoel Petah Tikva which held on to beat Beitar Jerusalem 1-0.

Striker Samuel Yeboah played 90 minutes for Beitar Jerusalem.

Belgium:

Right-back Daniel Opare was impressive as a full-timer for Standard Liege which beat KV Mechelen 3-0 at home to boost their Europa League chances.

Winger Abdul Yakini Iddi was a second half substitute for Mechelen.

Sunderland featuring three Ghana players suffered another defeat in a 2-0 defeat at Everton.

John Mensah proved his fitness level and played the entire duration; Striker Asamoah Gyan also played full throttle but Sulley Muntari was replaced 78 minutes.

Richard Kingson picked four goals from his net in a 4-0 thrashing at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In the Npower Championship: Jamal Campbell-Ryce substituted Albert Adomah in the 46th minute as Bristol City beat Scunthorpe United 2-0.

Centre-back Francis Dickoh lasted the entire duration as Hibernian beat Inverness 2-0.
