ITALY

Influential midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng marked his injury return for AC Milan by coming off the bench to play 35 minutes in their 2-1 win over AS Roma at the San Siro.

On-loan Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari played the entire match for Milan.

Kwadwo Asamoah was in full time action for Udinese which held Palermo to a one-all draw away.

Young midfielder Afriyie Acquah warmed the bench for Palermo.

Genoa and Udinese played out a pulsating 2-2 draw game at the Stadio Communale Luigi.

Ghana left-back Masawudu Alhassan watched the entire game from the Genoa bench as well as Midfielder Amidu Salifu from the Fiorentina bench.

In the Serie B, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played 67 minutes for Sassuolo which piped Empoli 1-0. His compatriot Isaac Cofie was an unused substitute.

Yaw Asante was left out of the Grosseto team that lost 2-1 at Brescia.

Relegation-trapped Nocerina thrashed fourth-placed Hellas Verona to better their survival chances.

Ahmed Ampimah Barusso came on from the bench.

FRANCE

Andre Ayew scored a 56th minute goal to end Olympique Marseille's seven match losing streak. Andre lasted the entire match but his younger brother Jordan Ayew was dropped to the bench.

Defender John Boye manned Stade Rennes defence as they lost 1-0 to Valenciennes.

Bernard Yao Kumordzi glittered in the middle for Dijon which humbled Caen 2-0.

French-born Ghanaian right-back Jerry Vandam played full time for Caen.

In the Ligue 2, Speedster Haminu Dramani played 14 minutes for Arles Avignon which drew 0-0 with Bastia.

Dennis Appiah was excluded from the Monaco side that kept their impressive run with a 2-1 win over Chateauroux.

Moussa Narry played at right-back for Le Mans who lost 2-0 at Boulogne.

HOLLAND

Midfielder Anthony Annan played the full minutes for Vitesse Arnhem in their 3-1 defeat at Roda JC.

Belgian-born Ghanaian midfielder Stanley Aborah Junior watched the action from the Vitesse bench.

Jeffrey Sarpong warmed the bench for ten-man NAC Breda who drew 1-1 with NEC.

Kwame Quansah helped Heracles Almelo to beat FC Utrecht 3-1.  There was no Nana Akwasi Asare in the Utrecht team.

Young winger Elvis Manu lost his place in the Feyenoord Rotterdam side that won 3-0 at bottom-placed De Graafschap.

Talented Edwin Gyasi was left out of De Graafschap 18-man squad for the game.

In the second-tier, Kelvin Bossman played one minute for Helmond Sport who beat Go Ahead Eagles 5-1.

PORTUGAL

FC Porto loanee Christian Atsu Twasam played the entire 90 minutes for Rio Ave which lost 1-0 to Vitória Guimarães.

NORWAY

Stromsgodset opened their season with a 2-1 loss at Molde. Ghana first choice goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey manned the post for Stromsgodset.

Left-back Abdul Razak Nuhu was introduced in the 80th minute.

Awal Issah Mohammed played 90 minutes for Rosenborg BK in their 3-1 win over Brann.

Former Ghana Under-17 captain Paul Addo watched from the bench as his Odd Grenland side lost 4-0 to Sogndal.

ENGLAND

Michael Essien was replaced in the 76th minute by Fernando Torres in Chelsea's 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

In the Npower Championship, Jeffrey Schulpp warmed the bench for Leicester City who beat  Hull City 2-1.

Prince Buaben played the entire second half for Watford who beat Ipswich Town 2-1.

Albert Adomah played full time for ten-man Bristol City which drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough.

SERBIA

OFK Beograd picked their first win in four games at the expense of Vojvodina. Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah lasted the entire duration for Vojvodina.

Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Francis Jojo Bossman helped Sloboda Sevojno to a 2-0 win over Spartak Subotica at the Stadion 24 Septembar.

Former Asante Kotoko striker Nathaniel Asamoah is yet to make his debut for Red Star Belgrade after failing to make the first team grade over the weekend as they beat Borac ?a?ak 2-0.

SWEDEN

Ghanaian-born Swede U19 defender Joseph Baffo played 22 minutes for Helsingborg who defeated AIK Stockholm 2-0 to lift the Swedish Super Cup.

UAE

Striker Asamoah Gyan scored his 13th league goal by converting from the spot in the 8th minute as his side Al-Ain cruised to a 4-1 win over bottom-placed Al Sharjah.

SWITZERLAND

Winger Ishmael Yartey was in full time action for FC Servette who lost 5-0 at FC Basel in the Swiss Super Liga.

POLAND

Ghanaian-born former Dutch U20 star Fred Benson watched from the stands as his Lechia Gda?sk slipped to a 3-2 home defeat to Podbeskidzie.

Former Kotoko midfielder Albert Bruce was out of the Legia Warsaw side who drew 1-1 on home soil with GKS Be?chatów.

GREECE

Mohammed Abubakar featured 90 minutes for ten-man Doxa Dramas who lost 2-0 to visiting Levadiakos.

Winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie inspired Panathinaikos to a slim 1-0 win over OFI Crete.

Francis Dickoh reclaimed his starting place in defence and lasted the entire duration for Aris which edged Panionios 4-2.

Defender David Addy played 76 minutes for Panaitolikos who lost 1-0 to AEK Athens.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Midfielder  Khalif Alhassan played the entire match for Portland Timbers in their defeat at New England Revolution.

Striker Dominic Oduro scored a 29th minute solitary goal to claim all three points for Chicago Fire against Philadelphia Union.

Compatriot Patrick Nyarko also played full time for Chicago Fire.

Gershon Koffie warmed the bench for Vancouver Whitecaps in their 0-0 stalemate with DC United.

ISRAEL

Seidu Yahaya helped Maccabi Haifa to record a 2-0 win over Bnei Sakhnin.

Former Hearts of Oak striker Eric Gawu watched the entire match from the bench but Yahaya played the entire match for Haifa.

CYPRUS

Striker Sam Yeboah came off the bench to score all two goals for Nea Salamis who cruised to a 2-0 win over Aris.

Yeboah opened the scoring on the 71st minute before completing the win on 90 minutes.

Carlos Ohene played full time for Alki who suffered a 2-0 loss at Enosis.
