PHOTOS: AshantiGold record biggest crowd at the Len Clay in 19 years during MO Bejaia clash

AshantiGold enjoyed their biggest home support in more than two decades when they beat MO Bejaia 1-0 in their CAF Champions League qualifier.

The Len Clay Stadium, a 25,00-seater, was 90 percent packed on Sunday.

Officials are yet to confirm the specific number of fans who thronged the stadium to match their opening Africa campaign.

The huge turn out brought back of memories of 1997 when AshGold reach the final of the Champions League and lost on penalties to Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.

Defender Joshua Tijani scored on the hour mark to give AshantiGold a slender advantage ahead of the return leg.
