Emmanuel Frimpong spending time in Ghana with his family

Midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is in Ghana spending quality time with his family having been left out of the Black Stars squad for the 2014 World Cup.

The 22-year-old is also plotting his next move after being released by relegated Barnsley at the end of the English Championship.

Frimpong has failed to reach his potential after bursting onto the scene as an exciting prospect while at Arsenal.

A series of knee injuries and loan spells away from the Emirates did little to boost the career of the Ghana international.

He was deservedly left out of Ghana’s provisional squad for June’s World Cup in Brazil.

Frimpong is however in town spending ‘quality’ time with his family.

He made his low-keyed arrival in Ghana days after being told he no longer has a future at Barnsley who have been relegated to the English third tier.

This fool takes more pics than playing football. He takes the word "selfie" to a new low, anyway i don't think any guy should ever do "selfies", that's for the women.

Based on what the masses are saying it looks like his only hope is the MLS.

Kotoko doesn't need his services either. He is not better than any of the midfielders we have in Kotoko so he should find a 19th division to play in English. As you said, Kotoko just like Barnsley cannot pay a player who plays his football on twitter. The guy needs to sit up, if he want to make it as a footballer.

lol. has someone not advised this chap to watch his theatrics, or does he just not listen to advice... i find either hard to believe. frimpong, establish your footballing pedigree first, then the fun shall follow.. as of not, his talents are being wasted at twitter FC.

As I see it, he is a guy who could actually take advantage of playing locally. This might put him in a position to be called up for some of the CHAN related fixtures and maybe even some 2015 CAN qualifiers. Being in Ghana might actually help him.

Hey! You guys are funny papa. How much is paying it's players? That meager £200 a month or thereabout?Even with this kotoko is having problems in paying the players. He will prefer to be a ball boy in England's 19th division to playing for koroko.
