Tottenham cruised to a 3-0 win at White Hart Lane against Fiorentina on Thursday night in the Europa League.

Ryan Mason opened the scoring for the hosts after he stroked into the bottom corner. The second came in the 63rd minute, when a saved Nacer Chadli effort fell towards the edge of the box and Erik Lamela coolly turned and curled his shot into the far corner. The game was sealed when Gonzalo Rodriguez scored an own goal when he poked home an enticing Ben Davies cross.

The score takes Tottenham through to the Europa League round of 16 with a 4-1 aggregate victory, after Fiorentina earned a 1-1 draw at home to the North Londoners in the first leg.

Tottenham

Hugo Lloris – 7 – Composed

Showed his usual class with his vision and reactions off of his line. Made the saves when required and put confidence into his back-line

Kieran Trippier – 6.5 – Energetic

Was up and down the wing, contributing to attack as well as showing exemplary defending at times. Forced the own goal for the 3rd with strong running and a teasing cross.

Toby Alderweireld – 6 – Settled

Was taken aback by the pressing early on and gave the ball away a couple of times. The Belgian did grow into the game and showed touches of class with his pinpoint diagonal long passes.

Kevin Wimmer – 6.5 – Assured

Showed calmness throughout and his distribution was accurate and intelligent.

Ben Davies – 6.5 – Solid

Had to deal with Bernardeschi for most of the game and pushed the young Italian wide, forcing him to make poor decisions with his final balls.

Eric Dier – 6.5 – Reliable

Provided his usual steel and simple passing in front of the back four.

Ryan Mason – 7 – Impressive

Relished another opportunity in the heart of Spurs’ midfield and showed intent as he looked to get forward. Opened the scoring with a cool strike across the ‘keeper and was unlucky to see his volley saved just before his substitution late on.

Cristian Eriksen – 6.5 – Team Player

Played a bit deeper than usual but he was very willing to look for the forward pass as much of the attack came through the Dane.

Dele Alli – 7 – Force

Showed all the attributes of an all round midfield, playing in an advanced position with his strong running and dribbling ability worrying the Fiorentina defenders all evening.

Erik Lamela – 6.5 – Sparkling

The Argentina loves this competition and scored again with an impressive curled effort after swivelling in the box.

Nacer Chadli – 6 – Clever

Played the false 9 position intelligently and dropped off to leave the Viola defence exposed on several occasions

Substitutes

Josh Onomah – 5.5 – Intent

Got involved as much as he could and provided a more permanent option up top as Tottenham closed out the match.

Nabil Bentaleb – N/A
