Pogba: It’s important to beat teams like Carpi

Published on: 20 December 2015

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba was happy with the three points after his side beat Carpi 3-2 at the Stadio Alberto Braglia.

The French midfielder scored to make it 3-1 before the Bianconeri almost threw the game away at the death following a Leonardo Bonucci own goal before Lorenzo Lollo fluffed a glorious chance to equalise.

“I scored an important goal and we won which was the aim,” said Pogba to Mediaset Premium post-match.

“[Massimiliano] Allegri wasn’t happy at the end, we know that such games are difficult.

“It’s hard when you make a mistake and the fans are there to jump on it and push the other side on but in the end we won and that’s what matters.”

The France international was also asked if he had anything he’d like to say to fellow title challenges Inter.

“No, we are only worrying about ourselves, we’re thinking about doing well out there on the pitch and we’re not looking at what the others do,” added Pogba.

“We have to concentrate when we play and then the results will take care of themselves.”
