Porto line up replacement for AFCON-bound Atsu

FC Porto have lined-up Brazilian Sheba as a replacement for Africa Cup of Nations-bound Christian Atsu.

The 20-year-old has been exceptional for Porto's team B side and showed a lot of promise in a recent match Benfica where he provided two assists.

Sheba has joined Porto on loan from Cruzeiro and could be pushing for a permanent deal if he impresses.

The Dragons will miss Atsu for close to a month but the club will have only James and Varela available.

Atsu has been named in Ghana's 26-man squad for their pre-Nations Cup camping in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

He is a sure candidate to make the final 23-man squad for his first Nations Cup appearance which will run from 19 January to 10 February in South Africa.
