Inter may finally be able to sign Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario, however only on loan from Chinese club Jiangsu Suning.

The 23-year-old has just won Euro 2016 with his national side after a 1-0 victory over hosts France in the final and he has been on the books of the Nerazzurri for some while.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mario will now move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, however only on loan as he looks set to complete a transfer to the Chinese Super League to join Jiangsu.

He will then be loaned out to Inter after a €35 million deal between Sporting Clube de Portugal and Jiangsu is completed.

Mario moved to Lisbon in 2012 and has since appeared 92 times in all competitions, including in all but one of his team’s Liga Nos matches last season, and has scored 14 goals and assisted a further 17.
