Asante Kotoko captain and joint top scorer Amos Frimpong is being tracked by Portuguese top-flight side Boavista FC.

According to a Kickgh.com publication, the Panthers will be seeking to sign the versatile defender in January.

"He [Amos Frimpong] nearly joined them in the summer but the deal broke down after unsuccessful negotiations" a close source to the player told Kickgh.com

"They're still in talks with him, so let's wait and see what happens next."

Frimpong was one of Kotoko best performers for last season with his versatility.

The 25-year-old scored eight league goals as the Porcupine Warriors finished fifth.
