Ghana defender John Mensah says he is almost back to full fitness after joining Slovakian side Nitra FC.
Mensah, 31, has signed for à Nitra FC after leaving French outfit Stade Rennes.
The former Sunderland man has seen a rather fine career wrecked by recurrent injuries over the years.
But he is delighted to have finally sealed the move to the Slovakian top-flight side and confident he will get to the top level.
ââ¬ÅBy God's grace I will be playing soon which is welcome news,â⬠said Mensah
ââ¬ÅI had been training on my own for some time now so fitness wise I am almost there.
ââ¬Å I just need a few warm up game to be able to get to my top level. I'm just happy to be given the opportunity to show my mettle.ââ¬
Mensah played for the Black Stars at the last two World Cups in Germany and South Africa in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
He has 79 caps under his belt.
