Pre-season preparation is not about talking – Basigi dares clubs

Published on: 10 February 2016

Hasaacas head coach Yusif Basigi has thrown a challenge to other Premier League coaches ahead of the kickoff of the league insisting ‘they should stop making noise in the pre-season’.

Hasaacas just started their pre-season preparations with a 3-0 win over … FC and followed it up with a 7-0 thrashing of Tallow FC and succumbed to Karela FC by 2-0.

Many clubs including Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC have dominated the headlines with their pre-season preparations.

But Basigi insists that the preparations of the clubs are not scary and sees it as noise making.

“Pre-season preparation is not all about talking. We prefer to be silent and prepare for the league rather than talking too much.

The other clubs must continue talking while we do our silent preparation. We shall shock many clubs this season,” Basigi said.

Hasaacas have dominated the transfer headlines for signing Eric Bekoe, Philip Boampong and Ernest Papa Arko in their quest to finish in the top four in the upcoming season.
