Premier League boss allays concerns over advanced ticket sales

Ghana’s Premier League boss Welbeck Abra-Appiah is urging patience in the wake of their proposed advanced tickets for matches in the top-flight.

The organizers of the country’s league experimented the innovation in the elite division on a pilot basis during Kotoko’s clash with All Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

But the Kumasi-based club raised concerns over the process insisting the validation process was extremely slow-which led to most fans held up in long queues at the gates 30 minute into the encounter.

But PLB chief Welbeck Abra-Appiah has apologized to the fans for the difficulties but insists lessons have been learnt.

“First of all I will like to say sorry to the fans in Kumasi who didn’t get the chance to watch the early stages of the game,” Abra-Appiah said

“We must all understand that we’re now introducing this advanced sale ticket into the league and everything that start will have it challenges.

“This is the pilot basis and so it will afford us the chance to identify the problems and put in corrective measures.”
