Prince Buaben accepts Ghana snub

Ghana midfielder Prince Buaben has taken Milovan Rajevac's latest snub on the chin and is convinced his time with the Black Stars will eventually come.

The Dundee United midfielder was not included in Ghana's 30 man provisional squad despite being one of the most consistent Ghanaian players in Europe.

But Buaben is determined to battle on with his international future.

“When the season started, I thought of going to the World Cup, I had to do well for the club first”, he said.

“I thought maybe I would get selected but I wasn’t too bothered when I wasn’t because I am still young and have good years ahead of me.

With the likes of (Buabeng’s hero) Michael Essien it was always going to be tough to get in but I may make it in future.

“I don’t even know if I will be able to watch the World Cup because I hate watching football. Every time I do, I have to be move my foot about as if  kicking the ball. Playing is what matters for me, but I pray for my country that they do well“.

Of immediate priority for Buaben, is Saturday's Scottish Cup final.

“I have to think about my next step and for me, its Saturday. If we win, I would be so happy. It will be compensation for missing out on the World Cup if we can win the Scottish Cup."
