Returning coach Professor J.K Mintah will not be on the bench for Ebusua Dwarfs when they open their CAF Confederations Cup campaign against ASC Les Jaraaf.

Professor Mintah has returned to the club after taking an extensive sick leave.

The team have not fared well in the Ghanaian top flight in the absence of their substantive coach.

And even though his return have excited many, the experienced trainer will not be on the bench when the Cape Coast-based side take on the team from Senegal on Saturday.

“Professor Mintah is back but will not be on the bench when we play the Confederations Cup,” Dwarfs operations manager John Ansah told Happy FM.

“All the problems have been solved, everyone is back but rushing Mintah back on the bench will not be professional.

“He will however be in the stands to offer advice as and when it is required.”

Dwarfs who are just a place above the bottom in the Ghanaian top flight are returning to African club competition for the first time in fourteen years.
