Medeama winger Richard Mpong says he is enjoying his time with the Black Stars.

The 21-year-old promising player earned his second call-up into the national team ahead of the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho and Zambia next month.

He’s been impressing at training and says his confidence level has sky-rocketed.

“Training has been going on well and I am happy with the way things are going at the moment,” Mpong told GHANAsoccernet.com

“Everyone is given up his best and that I’m sure is all in the best interest of the nation.

“I am only bidding my time for another chance to break into the team to show what I can do on the pitch.

“I always believe the turf should do the talking and so let’s see how it goes in the coming day,”

Mpong scored the opening goal on his debut call-up during the Black Stars 1-1 draw against Chile in an international friendly.

Coach Kwesi Appiah is yet to name his his 23-man squad to play in the double-header.
