Q&A with Ghana striker Jordan Ayew
Jordan Ayew speaks on Olympique Marseille's January schedule without brother Andre

Striker Jordan Ayew talks about how he intends to adapt to Olympique Marseille’s new system with his brother away at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 20-year-old will remain with the French club in January after failing to make Ghana’s provisional squad for the tournament to be hosted in South Africa.

With his brother, Andre, away with the Black Stars, coach Elie Baup is faced with the challenge of fashioning out a new system of play during this period.

The new system could see Jordan move from his preferred central role to either the left or right wing to fill the gaping hole created by the absence of Andre Ayew.

Jordan, would you be ready to play on the left side while your brother is away at the CAN?

JA: I never complain. I'm not the type to say I want to play here or there. While I'm on the ground, I'm fine. Whether it anywhere, I will give my best. I am available to the coach, so it's up to him. I'll be there in January. We'll see.

Yet, you feel better and better playing central .. .

JA: It is clear that I begin to feel better. This is the position I prefer, but I can also play on the side.

Olympique Marseille may change its pattern and play with two strikers, can you adapt?

JA: That's the coach who sees. We are players to play in any system. This is the coach who sees.  Do you playing on the left alongside Gignac?

JA: With Loïc, Dede, Gignac, my brother Andre, Mathieu Florian or Raspentino we work a lot in training. We understand each other very well. If it is aligned, there will be no problem to switch, we will make every effort.
