There was no Ghanaian on target in Thursday night's Uefa Europa League final knock out stages but Samuel Afum, Sadat Bukari and Gideon Baah recorded wins with their clubs.

Former Ghana U17 striker Sadat Bukari was in action for Romanian side FC Astra Giurgiu who did the unthinkable by rallying from a goal down to shock Olympique Lyon 2-1 at the Stade de Gerland in France. The former Heart of Lions forward started the game from the bench but his Ghanaian compatriot Seidu Yahaya played full throttle.

Kazakhstani side Astana is facing a difficult task to progress after suffering a heavy 3-0 loss against Spanish side Villarreal at their own backyard. Ghanaian striker Patrick Twumasi came off the bench in the 57th minute at the Astana Arena.

Shadrach Eghan was second-half substitute for FC Twente when the Dutch side held Qaraba? to a 0-0 draw in far away Azerbaijan.

Former Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah came off the bench to play the last 15 minutes for Finnish side HJK when they came from a goal down to beat Austrian visitors Rapid Wien 2-1.

Defender Lee Addy was not in the Dinamo Zagreb team that beat Petrolul 3-1 to take a giant step toward qualification.

Samuel Afum was brought off the bench in the 90th minute to play a cameo role in Young Boys' 3-1 win over Hungarian side Debrecen.

Attacker Elvis Manu was unused by Feyenoord who held Ukrainian side FC Zorya to a 1-1 draw.

Center-back Francis Dickoh was booked in the 36th minute and played full throttle as his FC Midtjylland succumbed to a 4-1 loss at Greek giants Panathinaikos.

Youngster Eugene Ansah was not in Lokeren side that pipped English side Hull City 1-0. However Belgian-born defender Denis Odoi played full-time.
