Rabiu Mohammed is delighted to have made a significant contribution to help Evian secure a point against Saint-Etienne last Saturday.

The 22-year-old scored to ignite Evian’s charge to securing parity following a dreadful first half display which saw them two goals down by recess before their home fans.

The point proved crucial for the hosts as they continue to battle their way through a real relegation threat.

The Ghana international’s debut goal has been touted as the trump card for the side at a time defeat was staring them in the face.

And the ex Udinese player who was full of thanks hopes the result emerges the springboard to help the team out of its relegation woes.

" I'm really happy. God has allowed me to score, I thank him,” he said.

“I like to thank my teammates and coaches for their support. I was really tired late in the game.

“I really gave everything. But this is normal. We had to fight to return to the score.

“We now believe the next game. It will act as we did in the second half.”
