Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) Chairman Joe Debrah has descended heavily on the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association over their ruling on the Elmina Sharks and Medeama SC Week 8 clash - stating that they will boycott the remaining games in the ongoing Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The Match Day 8 clash between Elmina Sharks and Medeama SC at the Ndoum Stadium ended abruptly after centre referee Nuhu Liman was assaulted by the home fans- which left him with a gush injury on his head.

However, the Ghana Football Associations’Disciplinary Committee (DC) has ruled that the game between Elmina Sharks and Medeama SC be replayed at a neutral venue.

“The ruling on Sharks and Medeama case is bias. Injustice at its peak,” Debrah told Happy FM.

“This ruling is bogus. Those at The Disciplinary committee are behaving like they don’t know anything about football. Common sense should tell them that the referee was clearly injured.”

“If the GFA has the power to sanction then the referees also have the power to boycott. Those at the disciplinary committee are useless, including those referees there.”

“We are giving them few days to correct things else they will officiate their own matches.”

“The end for Ghana football is near .If we don’t hear from them before Tuesday, GFA should go ahead and declare the league for this season because we won’t officiate

“I have been yearning and calling for Anas to investigate referees. We have to remove the bad officials from the system. They are tarnishing the image of referees in Ghana”

“How can they say that the referee doesn’t have the right to call the end of the match? The referees did nothing wrong by ending the match,” he concluded.
