Ranieri shocked Leicester players after diet meltdown

Leicester City players were shocked by former manager Claudio Ranieri's criticism of their direct.

The Times says the Italian lost the confidence of his senior players in his second season at the club and became oddly obsessed with the players' diet.

This apparently culminated in Ranieri raiding a snack table that had been laid out for the players.

Leicester's players were astounded to return to the away dressing room at full-time to find Ranieri raiding the snacks table, rather than celebrate a hard-fought victory.

The Foxes had won just two away matches under Ranieri this season and the players were surprised he was not there to celebrate with them.

The Italian's apparent obsession with diet was also a bone of contention.

His obsession was is in stark contrast to his actions last year when he offered the players a fast food treat every time they earned a clean sheet.
