Spanish La Liga side Rayo Vallecano have begun negotiations to sign Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Fatau.
Rayo targeted the 21-year-old, owned by Udinese but on loan at Primera Division side Granada, during the January transfer window.
But the Vallecans’ problem will be raising the cash to meet his asking price.
It looks has no place in coach JoaquÃn Caparrós' first team after being left out of the squad which beat Deportivo La Coruna 2-1 in their opener.
Fatau made nine appearances for Granada last season in the La Liga.
