Goalkeeper Razak Brimah visited his mentor and former coach Abedi Pele before returning to his base in Spain on Thursday.

The 27-year-old played under the Ghana legend during his formative years at FC Nania.

It was through FC Nania that Brimah benefited from a move to Europe after a tournament in Germany.

The Mirandes shot-stopper who kept the posts for the Black Stars in their final two 2015 AFCON qualifiers visited the home of Abedi Pele to thank him for his support during his early stages as a budding star.

The visit aside showing appreciation, was also meant to seek further support and the blessing of his mentor in order to become even more successful in both his club and international career.

Brimah is currently the only amongst all recognized Ghanaian goalkeepers who enjoys competitive league action on a regular basis in the Spanish second tier.

Adam Kwarasey – who appears to have fallen out with Ghana’s goalkeeper’s trainer Nassam Yakubu – has just completed his season in Norway while Fatau Dauda and Stephen Adams remain competitively inactive due to the delayed start of the Ghana Premier League.

Brimah returned to his Spanish base on Thursday night to rejoin his club as they prepare for the weekend's league action.
